About this project
A free, privacy-friendly tool for translating between text and Morse code — built for learners, makers, and radio enthusiasts.
What it is
Morse Code Maker is a free online Morse code translator and generator that works entirely in your browser. Type any text and it converts instantly to dots and dashes. Paste Morse code and it decodes back to readable text in real time.
Unlike server-based tools, nothing you type ever leaves your device. There is no signup, no account, and no ads shown during the translation process.

Why it exists
Most Morse code tools online are outdated, cluttered with ads, or require you to install an app. Morse Code Maker was built from scratch to be the cleanest, fastest way to translate Morse code on any device — phone, tablet, or desktop.
The tool is built with Astro and runs as a static site on Cloudflare's edge network, which means it loads fast anywhere in the world. All translation logic and audio synthesis runs locally in your browser using the Web Audio API — no server round-trips, no data collection, no lag.
The design is intentional: a dark telegraph-inspired aesthetic that feels at home with the subject matter, without being a gimmick.
Who it's for
Practice CW (continuous wave) Morse, test message timing, and decode received signals.
Learn the Morse alphabet, run classroom activities, or create Morse code puzzles for learners.
Generate authentic Morse code for escape rooms, ARGs, and alternate reality puzzles.
Encode secret messages for tattoos, art prints, jewellery, and creative projects.
Test microcontroller outputs, verify WAV files for embedded audio, or prototype signal apps.
Translate your name, a quote, or just explore how Morse code works — no experience needed.
Privacy
Every translation you make happens entirely on your device. The text you enter is never sent to any server, stored in any database, or logged anywhere.
